“Heavy hitters” have launched a comprehensive platform for international trading.

The recently launched Card Shop Live is a mobile and web marketplace for buying, trading, and selling sports cards, memorabilia, and collectibles. Created to attract serious collectors as well as new hobbyists, the Card Shop Live platform brings enthusiasts together to discover, chat and purchase easily from the palm of your hand, 24/7. Founded by Gioseffi, co-host of the podcast Sports Cards Nonsense on The Ringer, and five other sports and culture enthusiasts, Card Shop Live completed a funding round, which secured $1.5M, and was led by SGC. This round of financing will further enable the company to refine its technology, grow its relationships with trusted partners and vetted sellers, and create new tools to support its growing community as they reimagine the shopping experience.

“Trust, quality, and community have been our top priorities when designing and launching this new live streaming marketplace,” said Gioseffi, President of Card Shop Live. “I have been collecting for 25 years, and I wanted to ensure a fun and safe way for people to expand their collections, so we have heavily focused our seller vetting and curation process to make sure our community has the best shopping experience.”

Card Shop Live’s community-first approach has led them to integrate features, including chat, direct messaging, and user forums on products that provide a more interactive and transparent shopping experience. Currently, there is a curated selection of vetted sellers with shops that offer live breaks, auctions, and exclusive events for trading cards and comics. Soon they will be expanding their TCG selection of sellers, with additional hobby shops coming soon.

The platform allows sellers to sell products in real-time to users. Their live auction technology also allows users to upvote what product they want listed next. Users can also participate in NFT sports card breaks and also chat and direct message other users to discuss trading during a break.

Rick is joined by Nick Rolnick this week.

Rolnick (@thehpm), “The Human Performance Mechanic,” (thehpmny.com) an authority on blood flow restriction, performance enhancement specialist, and physical therapist. Nick’s sole goal is to help people get back to the activities they love as quickly as possible so they can experience the joy of pain free movement.

Rolnick is a product of Scarsdale, High School in Westchester (County) New York, He starred in baseball as captain on his college team at Franklin & Marshall. He has an M.S. in Health Promotion Management from American University, and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Columbia University with honors, realizing his love for fitness and passion to help others. “This is so rewarding, helping others with fitness and rehab. I wouldn’t change where I’m at.”

The return of PGA Tour 2K23 is right around the corner and media got a taste of this new video game at the Tour Championship in Atlanta.

Rick talks to Shaun West, one of the developers of PGA Tour 2K23.

PGA TOUR 2K23 will feature PGA TOUR icon and all-time sports great Tiger Woods as the cover athlete. PGA TOUR 2K23 celebrates Tiger’s legacy by introducing him as both a playable in-game pro and an Executive Director advising the game development team.

PGA TOUR 2K23 Deluxe Edition and PGA TOUR 2K23 Tiger Woods Edition are scheduled for worldwide release on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, followed by PGA TOUR 2K23 Standard Edition on Friday, October 14, 2022. Her tips for hosting a more eco-friendly summer BBQ including but not limited to:

Avoid Single-Use Items: Invest in reusable cups and cutlery for your event. Or, if the thought of doing all of those dishes is too much, look into compostable options.

Don’t Ditch Your Decorations: Either buy reusable decorations that you can bring back next year, or make your own! This can be a great crafting project to do with friends or children.

Stay Away from Pre-Packaged Food and Drinks: Avoid pilling up the plastic waste by making food at home. The same goes for drinks; make large batch cocktails or get a keg instead of buying individual cans.

Buy Local: Buying local ingredients not only helps the local economy, it also reduces carbon emissions!

Send Home Leftovers: Have guests bring reusable Tupperware to take home leftovers so no food goes to waste.

Keep It Natural: Buy or make natural bug sprays and sunscreens.
