Nicholas is an Eagle Scout and worked ten years at the Lost Pines Scout Reservation in Bastrop starting as a merit badge counselor, Nature Director, and rose to Camp Program Director. Nicholas also worked with the Fort Smith Mountain Men adventure firm developing travel programs for youth throughout the western states and Canada.
