Rick talks fitness in 2025 and supplements with Patty Brewton.

As summer approaches, many people begin focusing more on their health, fitness, and wellness routines, often kick-starting their efforts to get in shape for the season. However, more than half of adults are unaware that supplements can play a key role in supporting their fitness regimen. Supplements like protein, creatine, and pre-workout can be helpful tools to enhance performance, build muscle, and support recovery—yet many people overlook how they can contribute to a healthy, balanced routine.
Understanding how these supplements can complement a fitness regimen and healthy diet can make a significant difference in achieving wellness goals.

Despite the buzz around these supplements 54% of adults under 49 either don’t know or are unsure of how much protein they should consume daily. It’s not just protein – only 38% are aware of the benefits of pre-workout supplements, and fewer than 30% understand the advantages of creatine.

Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach Patty Brewton is here to clear up the confusion. A former Division I collegiate swimmer with a degree in kinesiology, she guides people to train smarter by combining the right exercise, nutrition, and supplements.
