Rick is joined this week by Dan Shube, a golf writer and broadcaster to talk about golf products and technology as well as his take on the recently completed, 2015 PGA Merchandise Show. For almost two decades, Dan has been an active member of the South Florida media, covering golf, travel and entertainment. During that time he has been a member of the exclusive Golf Writers Association of America.
Stephanie Tilenius is a well-known in Silicon Valley where she spent the last few years at venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins after leading commerce at Google for a few years. Before Google she was a longtime eBay employee in their PayPal business. In the ’90s she founded online pharmacy PlanetRx.
One of the brightest up and coming tour players is Jordan Spieth. In only two years as a PGA Tour player he has finished in the top 10 on 18 occasions. Spieth is also ranked ninth in the official World Golf Rankings. Under Armour, which surpassed Adidas as second in sports apparel sales has ripped up the final two years of an endorsement deal with Spieth and signed him to a new 10-year deal. Rick caught up with Jordan in this six minute interview.
Luis Rincon, CEO of Wearables.com is an expert who offers an unbiased view on the variety of devices in the market. He knows wearables and he also has some relevant data from a recently completed survey that his company did along with The Center for Generational Kinetics on consumer trends in the wearables market.
